What to check in a remote job site, for the Dominican Republic
| Check | Why it matters | workfinds.app |
|---|---|---|
| Does the listing say which countries you can work from? | "Remote" often means remote for people in one country or region. A listing that does not say leaves you to ask. | The remote jobs pages for a country list first the jobs whose source names that country as a country you can work from, then those open worldwide or across a region that includes it, with the counts of each. |
| Where do you apply? | Applying on the employer’s own site means the employer, not the job site, holds your application. | Always on the employer's own site. workfinds has no application form and never sends applications for you. |
| Is the work arrangement stated or guessed? | A job marked remote because of a guess wastes your applications. | Work arrangement, location and salary come from the fields the source provides, never from guesses based on the description. A job whose source states no work arrangement is shown as "Work arrangement not specified" and counted as Unknown on the stats page. |
| Is placement for sale? | Paid placement puts jobs above others for a reason that has nothing to do with you. | No ads and no third-party trackers, and the site analytics use no cookies. We never sell ranking: results are ordered by relevance and recency. |
| Does it follow the employer’s posting? | A job that is closed at the employer but still listed costs you time. | Listings follow the original posting: when an employer closes or changes a job at the source, it closes or changes here after the next check. |
| What does it cost, and what does it do with your data? | Free searching is common; accounts and trackers are where data is kept. | Searching and reading jobs is free and needs no account. A free account adds job alerts (1 saved search and 1 followed company, in a weekly digest), a tracker for up to 10 jobs on your device and autofill in the browser extension. The tracker is kept on your device, and the resume check reads your file on your own device; a resume is stored with your account only if you choose to save it. |
Before you rely on it
- workfinds is smaller than the large job boards, so look at them as well. workfinds covers the employers whose career sites and applicant tracking systems it reads: 1,404,645 open jobs today from 40,931 company sites. It does not list every job posted anywhere.
- A job open to the Dominican Republic is the employer's own statement of where it can be done from; read the posting for any limit on where you may live or be paid.
Questions
How do I find remote jobs I can do from the Dominican Republic?
Look for a site that says which countries each remote job is open to, not only "remote". On workfinds, the remote jobs pages for a country list first the jobs whose source names that country as a country you can work from, then those open worldwide or across a region that includes it, with the counts of each.
Is workfinds a good place to look for remote jobs in the Dominican Republic?
It is one place to look. It lists remote jobs from employers' own career sites and applicant tracking systems and shows which countries each names, without ads. workfinds covers the employers whose career sites and applicant tracking systems it reads, and does not list every job posted anywhere. Use it beside the large job boards, not instead of them.
How does workfinds decide if a job is remote?
Work arrangement, location and salary come from the fields the source provides, never from guesses based on the description. A job whose source states no work arrangement is shown as "Work arrangement not specified" and counted as Unknown on the stats page. Filters for remote, hybrid and onsite work use those fields only, and jobs with no stated arrangement are left out of an arrangement filter unless you choose to include them.
Does workfinds apply to jobs for me?
No. "Apply on source site" takes you to the employer's own posting, and you apply there. workfinds has no application form of its own and sends no applications for you.
Is workfinds free?
Searching and reading jobs is free and needs no account.
