workfinds.app compared with Glassdoor
Glassdoor is mostly a place to research employers: company reviews, salary figures and interview questions. workfinds.app is a place to find open jobs, with the salary only when the employer's posting states one. They do different jobs, and many people use both.
workfinds covers the employers whose career sites and applicant tracking systems it reads: 1,374,597 open jobs today from 40,266 company sites. It does not list every job posted anywhere.
workfinds.app and Glassdoor side by side
| Topic | Glassdoor | workfinds.app |
|---|---|---|
| Company reviews | Employee reviews of companies. | None: workfinds has no employee reviews of its own. |
| Salaries | Average salary pages for a job title and place, which state how many submissions they rest on. | Only the salary the employer’s posting states, when it states one. There are no estimates. |
| Interview questions | Interview questions and interview reviews for companies. | None. |
| Finding open jobs | Lists jobs, next to the company pages. | Its whole purpose: public listings on company career sites, applicant tracking systems and reviewed job boards; every job links to its original posting. |
What workfinds does differently
- A salary on a job is the one the employer states in the posting; nothing is estimated from other people’s reports.
- Work arrangement, location and salary come from the fields the source provides, never from guesses based on the description. A job whose source states no work arrangement is shown as "Work arrangement not specified" and counted as Unknown on the stats page.
- You apply on the employer's own site: workfinds has no application form.
- No ads and no third-party trackers, and the site analytics use no cookies. We never sell ranking: results are ordered by relevance and recency.
- The remote jobs pages for a country list first the jobs whose source names that country as a country you can work from, then those open worldwide or across a region that includes it, with the counts of each.
Where Glassdoor is the better choice
- Company reviews: Glassdoor is built around what employees say about working at a company; workfinds has nothing like it.
- Salary figures: Glassdoor has average salary pages by job title and place, built from submissions; workfinds shows pay only when the posting states it, so many jobs show none.
- Interview preparation: Glassdoor has interview questions and reviews for companies; workfinds has none.
